Spicy Artichoke Pasta Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. 3 oz. can Italian plum tomatoes with liquid
    6 oz. jar marinated artichoke hearts, quartered
    1/8 c. olive oil
    1 large yellow onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/8 c. dried basil
    3/4 c. black olives, sliced
    1/2 Tbsp. dried oregano
    1/8 to 1/4 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
    grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
    1/2 Tbsp. whole peppercorns, crushed
    1 lb. linguine or other pasta
Preparation
    Drain artichokes and reserve 1/8 cup marinade.
    Saute onion, garlic, basil, oregano and red pepper in hot oil over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Add crushed peppercorns.
