Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 qt. milk (4 c.)
    1 yeast cake (2 pkg.)
    5 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add milk, less 1/4 cup; bring to boiling point.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water.
    Add flour.
    Let rise 2 hours.
    Add salt, soda, baking powder and as much flour as needed to make a soft dough (could use as much as 5 cups).
    Store in refrigerator, covered.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
