Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 or 12 Jonathan apples, peeled and quartered
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Put apples in large mixing bowl.
    Sprinkle with dry ingredients which have been mixed together.
    Add water and vanilla.
    Mix and pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass dish.
    Dot with butter.
