Baklava - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lbs. walnuts or pecans, chopped
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 lbs. butter
    2 lbs. fila
Preparation
    Mix chopped nuts, cinnamon and brown sugar together.
    Grease a large 11 x 16 inch pan with melted butter.
    Place 6 fila in pan, brushing each with melted butter.
    Sprinkle with thin layer of nuts and cover with 3 fila, brushing each with melted butter. Alternate in this way until nuts and fila are used, topping with 6 butter fila.
    Cut pastry into small diamond shapes.
    Bake in slow oven - 300\u00b0 - for 1 1/2 hours until lightly browned.
    Remove from oven and cool.
    Pour warm syrup over pastry.
