Cheese-Ham Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. onion
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 c. cubed cooked ham
    6 c. cubed cooked potatoes
Preparation
    Saute onion in margarine until tender.
    Add flour and seasonings.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Gradually add milk.
    Cook over medium heat.
    Keep stirring until bubbly.
    Add 1 1/2 cups cheese; stir until melted.
    Add ham and potatoes; toss. Spoon into greased 2-quart shallow baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
    Bake for 5 more minutes.
