Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

3 cans French-style green beans
1 c. grated cheese
1 medium chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1/3 c. water
1 (No. 2) can French fried onion rings
Preparation

Mix together soup, sour cream and water.
In a saucepan, cook green beans and onions for 15 minutes.
Grease the bottom of casserole dish with butter.
Place green beans in first, then alternate layers with soup mixture, grated cheese and dot with butter.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes, then place onion rings on top and bake for 5 minutes more.
