Southern Peach Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 c. hot water
1 egg, at room temperature
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. butterscotch dessert mix
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 to 3 tsp. milk
1 (16 oz.) can peach slices, drained
Preparation

In mixer bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
Add 2 tablespoons butter and water to dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
Add egg, vanilla flavoring and another 1/2 cup of flour.
Beat at high speed 2 minutes.
By hand, stir in 3/4 cup flour to make a stiff batter.
Spread in greased 9-inch square pan.
