Bake And Take Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. oats
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix oats and water; let stand.
Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Mix alternately with oats into creamed sugars and shortening.
Add vanilla.
Grease pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
