Pinto Bean Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cooked, mashed pinto beans
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 stick margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook pinto beans until tender with 1 teaspoon salt.
Mash beans and mix all ingredients together.
Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes, then at 300\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Shield crust with aluminum foil first 35 minutes.
Decorate with pecan halves, if desired.
Makes 8 servings.
