Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    1 chopped onion
    1 chopped jalapeno
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat; season to taste.
    Add onion and jalapeno to meat. Mix all other ingredients, except cheese.
    In a greased baking dish (approximately 12 x 12-inch or similar) or in an iron skillet, pour 1/2 of cornmeal mixture.
    Spread meat over meal mixture; sprinkle cheese over meat.
    Spread remaining cornmeal mixture over meat. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
