Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 oz. crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 oz. lemon Jell-O
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 c. diced unpeeled apples
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. whipped topping
Preparation
    Boil 3 minutes the pineapple and sugar. Add lemon Jell-O. Stir until dissolved. Add cream cheese. Stir until combined. Cool. Fold in apples, walnuts, celery and whipped topping. Pour into 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm. Serve on lettuce leaves.
