Pumpkin Pound Cake - cooking recipe

2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. each of cinnamon and nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
15 oz. can of solid pack pumpkin
Preparation

Blend sugar and oil.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine dry ingredients and add to egg mixture alternately with the pumpkin.
Transfer to a greased 12 cup fluted tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 60 - 65 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Remove pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
