Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. rhubarb, cut fine
    1/2 c. broken nuts
Preparation
    Mix as for any cake, adding rhubarb and nuts last.
    Top before baking with additional 1/3 cup brown sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Serve slightly warm.
    Top with whipped cream.
