Peanut Butter Hardtack - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
1 lb. 3 oz. peanut butter
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup and water in saucepan.
With candy thermometer bring to 300\u00b0.
In cast-iron skillet (buttered) add peanut butter.
Add hot syrup and stir.
Put on buttered cookie sheet.
Cut into squares.
