Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. red food coloring
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. cherry juice
    2 (16 oz.) cans cherries
Preparation
    Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and cherry juice in saucepan. Cook until it begins to boil.
    Stir constantly.
    Add drained cherries and continue cooking until the desired thickness is reached.
    Remove from heat and add butter and red coloring.
    Cool. Pour into pastry lined open dish and add top crust or strips of pastry.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for ten minutes, then reduce temperature to 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
