Coffee Cake Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 sticks (1 1/4 c.) margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
    2 c. flour
    1 can pie filling (use your favorite, but apricot is really delicious)
Preparation
    Cream together the margarine and the sugar until light and fluffy.
    Separate the eggs and then beat the egg whites until stiff.
    Add the lemon flavoring and egg yolks to the sugar and margarine mixture.
    Add flour and beat in.
    Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Note:
    The dough will be stiff.
