Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 sticks butter
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1/3 tsp. almond flavoring
    1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and butter.
    Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Stir in flavorings.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan; cool completely on a rack.
    Yields one 10-inch cake.
