Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk plus 2 Tbsp.
Preparation
    Stir shortening to soften.
    Gradually add sugar and cream thoroughly.
    Add vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition.
    Pour into paper bake cups in muffin pans (1/2 full).
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 20 minutes or until done.
