Caramel Corn(Cracker Jacks) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 c. popped corn
    2 c. peanuts (optional)
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup (dark may be used)
    1 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
    Add brown sugar and Karo syrup, stirring constantly.
    Let boil 1 minute.
    Add soda and stir well.
