Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
    3/4 c. granulated sugar, divided
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    3 c. milk
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Prick dough and line with foil.
    Fill with dried beans, uncooked rice or pie weights, bake 10 to 15 minutes.
    Cool completely on wire rack.
    In 2-quart saucepan, stir with wire whisk until well blended.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Continue cooking and stirring for 2 minutes or until thick.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in butter and vanilla.
