Ever Ready Frozen Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) crushed pineapple
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. pineapple juice
    3/4 c. celery, diced
    3 apples, chopped
    3/4 c. nuts
    1 large Cool Whip
Preparation
    Drain pineapple and reserve 3/4 cup juice.
    Combine lemon and pineapple juice.
    Add eggs, sugar and salt.
    Cook over low heat, constantly stirring until thick.
    Cool.
    After cooled, add pineapple, celery, apples and nuts.
    Fold in Cool Whip.
    Freeze. Lasts indefinitely.
