Aunt Relda'S Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size can crushed pineapple
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chopped apples
    1 c. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bring pineapple and sugar to a boil.
    Boil about 5 minutes. Stir to dissolve sugar.
    Remove from heat and add cream cheese and jello.
    Stir until cheese is melted.
    Cool.
    Fold into cooled mixture the celery, nuts, apples and Cool Whip.
    Refrigerate.
