Nut Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sweet milk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    3 Tbsp. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Measure together flour, baking soda, salt and ginger.
    Combine 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, molasses, butter and egg.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to sugar and molasses mixture. Beat until well blended.
    Pour into well-greased 8 or 9-inch baking pan.
    Put remaining 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar and nuts over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
