Southern Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 fryer, cut up
    buttermilk to cover chicken
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    Crisco (2-inches deep in skillet)
Preparation
    Soak chicken in buttermilk for 15 minutes.
    Coat chicken well in dry ingredients.
    Put Crisco in skillet.
    Heat on medium-high heat.
    Add floured chicken and brown on one side with cover on skillet, then turn and brown on other side.
    Replace cover.
    Cook until tender and brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Ready to serve.
