Cucumber Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cucumber, thinly sliced
    1 small onion, thinly sliced
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place the sliced cucumber and onion in a bowl and sprinkle with the salt, pepper and sugar.
    Allow to sit for a few minutes. Pour the vinegar over the cucumber and onion.
    Place several ice cubes on the cucumbers to crisp them.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove the ice cubes and serve.
