Cooper Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. oatmeal
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. caramel ice cream topping, mixed with 3 Tbsp. plain flour
Preparation

Mix oatmeal, flour, soda, salt, margarine and brown sugar together.
(I use my hands.)
Press half of the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over hot crust. Drizzle caramel sauce over chips and nuts.
Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Return to oven for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
Keep in an airtight container.
