Grandma Bennett'S Nut Wafer Cookies(Born 1895 And Still Going) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. melted shortening
    3 large eggs, beaten well
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    5 c. flour
    1 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add eggs slowly, mixing thoroughly.
    Add nuts and then dry ingredients.
    Shape into 1 foot rolls (like shaping long thin meat loaf).
    Put in icebox overnight.
    When ready to bake, slice in 1/4-inch pieces.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until brown on bottoms.
    These will be very crunchy when cool.
