Crisp Sweet Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    About 7 pounds thin sliced cucumbers
    2 cups lime
    8 cups sugar
    2 quarts vinegar
    2 Tbsp pickling spice (tied in cloth)
Preparation
    Put lime in enough water to cover cucumbers in large pan and soak overnight.
    Next day, wash cucumbers through 4 or 5 rinse waters.
    Then soak cucumbers in ice water for 2 hours.
    Cook vinegar, sugar, and spice bundle until boiling.
    Add cucumbers and cook about 45 minutes.
    Put in sterilized jars and seal.
