Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. corn meal mix
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2 or 3 jalapeno peppers
1 onion, chopped fine
1/2 to 3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
milk

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients together.
Add remaining ingredients, except milk.
Add enough milk to mix good, but leave sort of thick. Drop from teaspoon into hot grease.
Cook until golden brown.
