Pizzelles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 doz. eggs
pinch of salt
3 c. sugar
2 c. oil
1 Tbsp. vanilla
anise (1 bottle, use with oil)
7 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
nuts (optional)
powdered sugar
Preparation

Make like cookie dough.
Add 1 teaspoon baking powder.
Beat eggs, sugar, salt, oil and flavoring.
Add flour and remaining baking powder.
Drop from teaspoon to pizzelle iron.
When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
May add to flavor one of the following:
1 tablespoon rum, 2 tablespoons cocoa or 2 tablespoons cinnamon.
