Mama'S Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal (yellow)
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. corn oil
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 grated onion
    1 small can creamed corn
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 or 3 chili peppers
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together, adding cheese last.
    Bake in greased iron skillet at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    (May use another bread pan if desired, greased and floured.)
    Serves 8 to 12.
