Cornmeal Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plain cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
broth from ham hock (or your choice of broth)
1/4 c. plain flour
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. bacon fat
Preparation

Mix meal, flour, baking powder and eggs.
Add milk, stirring until well blended.
Add melted bacon fat.
Drop by teaspoons into boiling broth.
Cover tightly and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
