Almond Butter Toffee(Microwave) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. water
    1 stick butter, unsalted
    2 1/4 oz. pkg. sliced almonds
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Line 9 x 9-inch pan with aluminum foil.
    Sprinkle almonds in pan.
    Rub top (about 1/2-inch) of 2-quart microwave bowl with the butter.
    Place butter in bottom of bowl.
    Pour sugar directly on the butter (avoid getting on sides of bowl).
    Add salt and water. Cook on High for 7 minutes.
    This is only starting time.
    Keep adding time, 30 second intervals until candy is color of brown sugar or brown butter.
    Pour mixture over almonds.
    Do not scrape bowl; cool.
    Top with melted chocolate.
    When chocolate sets, lift foil out of pan and break into pieces.
