Favorite Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can chunk pineapple
    1 large can mandarin oranges
    2 large bananas, sliced
    nuts and cherries (as desired)
    1 small box vanilla Jell-O pudding and pie filling
Preparation
    Reserve juices from pineapple and oranges.
    If necessary, add enough water to make 1 cup of liquid.
    Mix with pudding and pie filling.
    Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
    Cool and pour over fruit mixture.
    Stir well.
    Chill 3 to 4 hours before serving.
