Chicken And Dressing Southern Style - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 hen, boiled and deboned
3 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 tsp. soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 c. buttermilk
2 c. chopped celery
2 c. chopped onions
light bread or biscuits
7 eggs
1 c. cream of chicken soup
1 can water (soup can)
sprinkle of sage
Preparation

Mix meal, flour, soda, salt and milk and mix well.
Beat 5 eggs well.
Mix in eggs.
Bake in 450\u00b0 oven, not too brown.
Boil chicken until tender with lots of water.
When cooked, remove from broth.
Pick from bones.
Mix cornbread with broth (not too soupy).
Add some biscuits or light bread, crumbled into small pieces, but not too many.
Add eggs (beaten) to bread mixture. Mix in onions, celery and chicken.
I add 1 can of cream of chicken soup and 1 can of water, if needed.
Bake at 350\u00b0 or 450\u00b0 until lightly browned.
Serve with giblet gravy and cranberry sauce.
