Texas Straw Hats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2/3 c. chopped celery
    2/3 c. chopped green pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1/2 c. catsup
    2 c. water
    2 tsp. Worcestershire
    dash of Tabasco
    corn chips
    shredded cheese
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook onion, celery and green pepper in hot butter until tender, not brown.
    Add beef; brown lightly.
    Add remaining ingredients except chips and cheese.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Serve over corn chips.
    Top generously with cheese.
    Makes 6 to 7 servings.
