Apple Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. butter
    6 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla; divide into 6 parts.
    Pat into 9-inch cake pans that have been greased and floured.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 until lightly brown. Cool.
    Stack layers with dried apple filling, leaving top layer plain.
