Chickpeas With Pasta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 (19 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. dried basil
    1 (14 oz.) can chickpeas, drained
    3/4 lb. small pasta, cooked firm and drained
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    2 Tbsp. fresh parsley
Preparation
    In a saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil.
    Add tomatoes and basil.
    Simmer until thickened.
    Add chickpeas, pasta, salt and pepper to taste.
    Heat.
    Add cheese and parsley.
