Walnut Bourbon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 c. light corn syrup
4 Tbsp. butter
pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. black walnut halves and pieces
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. bourbon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, lightly beaten
10-inch pastry shell
whipped cream (optional)
Preparation

Preheat the
oven to 375\u00b0.
In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate, sugar, corn syrup, bourbon, butter, vanilla and salt over low heat.
Let the mixture cool, then stir in eggs.
Place the nuts in the pie shell and pour the chocolate mixture over them.
Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 325\u00b0 and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer.
The filling will still be a bit shaky, but deep golden brown.
Cool to room temperature.
Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
