Hearty Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. steak, cubed
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
    4 to 5 potatoes, cubed
    2 to 3 medium onions, cubed
    3 carrots, cubed
    2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. garlic
    1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
    2 bay leaves
    dash of oregano
Preparation
    Cook steak in water until half done.
    Add tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, onions and seasoning.
    Bring to boil.
    Cover and cook on medium heat for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bay leaves and add seasoning to taste.
    Cook 30 minutes longer.
