Macaroni Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef or turkey
3 Tbsp. olive or salad oil
1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
1 qt. tomato juice
2 c. chopped onions
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 to 4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
1 c. chopped sweet pickles
3 qt. water to boil
2 c. (8 oz.) elbow macaroni
Preparation

In Dutch oven or heavy large pan, brown meat in oil, stirring frequently.
Add tomatoes, tomato juice, onions, garlic, salt and remaining seasonings.
Simmer, covered, one hour or more.
Stir in kidney beans and pickles.
Cook 30 minutes longer.
Remove bay leaf.
Add cooked macaroni.
Makes 10 servings.
Very good and filling meal.
