Pecan Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. white sugar
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. pecans, cut up
1 c. white corn syrup
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, including pecans, in a large heavy pan. Bring to 240\u00b0 on candy thermometer (which must be used for satisfactory results).
Use medium heat.
When 240\u00b0 temperature is reached, set off stove and cool to warm, 25 minutes or so.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat until thick.
Pour into large buttered cake pan.
Cut in pieces when set.
