Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    16 oz. tomato sauce
    16 oz. water
    3 to 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
    3 to 4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1 onion, diced
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Preparation
    Brown beef with onion; drain.
    Add all ingredients.
    Cook, covered, on top of stove until carrots and potatoes are tender, 45 minutes to 1 hour or bake at 350\u00b0 in covered casserole dish for 1 hour.
