Split Pea Soup(Ertesuppe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. split green or yellow peas
    1 onion, diced
    2/3 c. celery, chopped
    1 ham bone
    2/3 c. carrots, sliced
    1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
Preparation
    Rinse peas.
    Cover with water in large kettle.
    Cook until nearly tender.
    Add vegetables; cover and simmer until cooked. Dilute with broth if desired.
