Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. minus 1 Tbsp. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Stir sugar, corn syrup and water, until sugar is dissolved. Cook without stirring until reaches 260 degrees on a candy thermometer (or until a small amount of mixture dropped into cold water forms a hard ball). In mixer bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Continue beating while pouring hot syrup in a thin stream into egg whites. Add vanilla; beat until mixture holds it's shape and becomes slightly dull. Fold in nuts. Drop mixture from tip of buttered spoon onto wax paper.
