Apple Tapioca - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. tapioca (Minute)
    4 c. sliced apples
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
    Let stand 5 minutes. Heat to a boil, stirring occasionally.
    Simmer until apples are tender (approximately 12 minutes).
    Serve warm with a sprinkle of nutmeg and a scoop of vanilla or French vanilla ice cream.
    Serves 8.
