Granma'S Teacakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. vanilla flavor
    flour (all-purpose)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except flour.
    Alternate flour with liquid mixture until thick dough is formed.
    Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut into shapes.
    Place on cookie sheet and bake at 300\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.
