Bacon-Jelly-Cheese Puff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 slices white bread
    butter
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. processed Cheddar cheese slices
    6 eggs, well beaten
    1 qt. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    3 bacon strips
    currant jelly
Preparation
    Trim crust from bread and butter each slice.
    Arrange 8 slices, buttered sides down, in bottom of well buttered rectangular baking dish.
    Cover with 8 slices of cheese; top with remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
    Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over bread.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Bake in pan of hot water in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for about 1 hour, or until puffed and browned.
