Barbecue Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 3 spareribs
    2 to 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 c. catsup
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Cut ribs into individual serving pieces.
    Brown in butter in a frying pan.
    Place ribs and onion in slow cooker.
    Mix remaining ingredients together and pour sauce over ribs.
    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (high for 4 to 6 hours).
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
