Raspberry Almond Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. almonds, sliced
    2 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg, separated
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. light brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. unsalted butter
    2/3 c. raspberry preserves
Preparation
    Combine flour, cinnamon and salt.
    Add butter, sugars, vanilla and egg yolk.
    Press dough into sheet pan.
    Spread preserves evenly over top.
    Lightly beat egg white and brush lightly over top.
    Sprinkle with nuts, pressing gently.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 until edges are brown and center is firm (30 to 35 minutes).
    Remove from oven.
    Loosen sides with spatula immediately.
    Cut in squares.
